Should the form necessarily follow the function?
What if the element of the design, although it does not actually improve the original functionality, leads to imagination?
X-tape series is a project which expresses the function of tape metaphorically with visual wit.
This series have the actual image print of various stuffs like hinge and strap which have similar functionality of combining and attaching with packaging tape so that it has the effects of the illusion that the object is sealed with hinge or strap.
X-tape means that the usage of the tape is not defined or unlimited.
“Illusion” by X tape enables users to create various possibilities for the functions. X-tape is not just a sealing tool any more but a medium that brings more stories to the object.
